On our recent trip to find the best destination wedding venues in Abu Dhabi we were keen to learn about the wedding traditions and cultures in the United Arab Emirates and how they differ so much from our own.
Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates and the largest Emirate in the country is steeped in culture and beauty. With it’s stunning beaches, glistening waters and year round sunshine there are a host of new resort venues opening and we predict that Abu Dhabi is all set to rival Dubai for those looking to have a luxury destination wedding. We’ve been to check out the best venues for couples planning a luxury wedding in Abu Dhabi and we loved what we saw. As marriage laws only permit residents to legally marry in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and there isn’t a quick way to get residency, it is sensible to complete the legalities at home first, leaving you free to have the ceremony of your choice once you are here.
This week we visited the annual Wedding Showcase by Historic Royal Palaces to visit the brand new event spaces that have recently opened up at Kensington Palaces, which are ideal for couples planning a lavish palace wedding in the UK.
The main event took place in the incredible new Kensington Palace Pavilion, which is a brand new purpose-built space designed to temporarily replace The Orangery until 2021. The Pavilion features two main event spaces, with capacity for an impressive 800 guests for a standing reception across both rooms, and 300 for a seated dinner with the option of a separate drinks reception area. The space overlooks Kensington Palace’s famous Sunken Garden, and there’s even a covered terrace that’s ideal for weddings in spring or summer.
We’re delighted to announce that Beyond Weddings has been shortlisted in the Best in Luxury category at the inaugural International Travel & Tourism Awards, presented by World Travel Market.
