The pretty village of Portofino is a classic Italian fishing port with brightly painted waterside boutiques and restaurants contrasting with the with impressive sprawling houses painted in shades of ochre, clinging to steep mountains. It was a spot we simply had to visit for the final day of our Belmond FAM trip, and certainly was one we won’t forget.
Day 3 of our trip to Italy took us to the pretty town of Parma, a region famed for it’s Prosciutto ham and Parmesan cheese! We were presented with the opportunity to see how the famous San Pietro Prosciutto is produced.
Day 2 of our Italian escapade saw us heading to Florence, the capital of the Tuscany region. Home to masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture, including the Duomo Cathedral and Michelangelo’s “David” sculpture, we couldn’t wait to see what the Belmond Group had in store for us.
